In page Publius Cornelius Dolabella (consul 10):

"

Tacitus mentions Dolabella twice more in the surviving portions of his Annales. In 28 Dolabella joined in the prosecution of his cousin Publius Quinctilius Varus.[1] It is not known what Varus was charged with,[2] but it may have been treason or maiestas.[3] The outcome of the case is unknown, but the absence of his family from history makes it likely that he was either condemned or committed suicide.[4] The date of his death is not recorded.
