In page 2010–11 Queensland floods:

"

Bundaberg experienced severe flooding, the worst in 40 years,[3] after the Burnett River flooded the city, although the Paradise Dam reservoir contributed to some flood mitigation.[4] This resulted in the evacuation of 300 homes.[3] The Bundaberg Port, a major sugar exporting facility, was closed late in December 2010 as flooding deposited silt in the port, forcing its closure. The port re-opened in early March 2011 after successful dredging operations allowed ships to berth.[5]
